Kennel Technicians/Holding Rooms
Thermostatically controlled holding rooms combined with complete humidity control are the temporary homes for our puppies awaiting transfer to your store. Our pens are fiberglass for easy sanitation with rubber-coated flooring and catch trays underneath. Each pen is equipped with Oasis glass water bottles and food bowls. Each puppy room has its own puppy nurse and a kennel technician. In addition, a kennel technician monitors puppy comfort at night. Ceiling speakers provide mellow music to create a peaceful atmosphere for reduced stress.
Truck Pickup/Delivery
Puppies from our selected breeders are delivered on our own climate-controlled trucks. Each truck is custom built especially for Lambriar for transporting puppies. Each Lambriar delivery truck is manned by two drivers, each trained and certified in the proper care of pets by Dr. Jochim, and Dr. Sasse. While one drives, the other is in charge of constant supervision, feeding, watering, and cleaning. Trucks have built-in spacious pens, superior dual heating and air conditioning units, and a generator unit per each vehicle. Our trucks are designed for the comfort, health, and safety of the companion pets we transport. Lambriar puppies are received from the breeder and delivered to our facility by the same climate controlled custom built trucks. The trucks are also manned by an experienced, friendly buyer and co-buyer. The buyer and co-buyer are certified in proper pet care and are trained to recognize breed quality of the puppies.
Companion Animal Recovery
Lambriar began microchipping puppies in October of 2000. Each Lambriar puppy is microchipped prior to shipping. This program has proven to be successful for pet stores and pet owners alike. Several lost and stolen puppies have been identified and recovered because of the microchip. A microchip is a tiny transponder about the size of a grain of rice. The chip is implanted into the puppy using a simple procedure similar to a routine vaccination. Since no anesthesia is involved, and the chips are made out of hypoallergenic material, adverse reactions to microchip implantation are virtually zero. The microchips used for animal identification are “passive electronic devices”. This means that the chip itself does not give out any sort of electronic activity on it’s own. Once it is implanted, the microchip remains inactive until read with a scanner. Scanners send a low frequency signal to the chip, providing the power needed by the microchip to send its code back to the scanner. Each chip is individually inscribed with a unique ID number; no two microchips have the same code number. The code cannot be altered or lost, and the chip is recognized worldwide by the International Standards Organization. Registration is simple and cost effective for the consumer. Involved
We at Lambriar are in a unique position to advocate for the animals we care so much about. We provide educational seminars to educate breeders and pet store owners on the latest in pet care and humane treatment. Our efforts have extended to the Kansas state legislature and the United States Congress. We are motivated by our love for animals and our belief that the pet care industry is responsible for relaying up-to-date knowledge of animal care and wellness. We work diligently to improve rules and regulations regarding pet care and treatment, as well as breeding and records management. Respect of all animals has been and always will be our number one priority.
